Shinjuku Lesson

Yesterday was my lesson to Shinjuku. Its their first time to learn the Puili (Pū'ili: bamboo rattles about 20 inches long and about 1 and 1/2 inches in diameter, with node at one end used as the handle. Bamboo is slit lengthwise, slivers between strands removed, that allows the bamboo to rattle or rustle.)

Wahine on their break time.

We are having a good time after the lesson.

They did a nice job memorizing the 3 verses of the Mele 'O Lana'i. They are really fun when I am teaching them and they are good in memorizing the dance figures. After the I switch my lesson to Lilo & Stitch  dance.
Its my first time to teach this music and become a popular dance to all of my student.
They enjoyed the music and dance. even though it was complicated in one step. (Kalakau'a)
After the we had a dinner together with Misaki San, Hiratsuka San, Aso san, Alena Sensei, Me and Wolfgang. We had a good time talking and eating. We are all very hungry after the long lesson.

Taking pictures before the food arrived.
This is our 1st picture together.
